Using this site
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
We may change the site, add or remove features, and update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies when you visit.
Health information is not medical advice
Everything on this website is written for awareness and education. It is not a diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional.
If you are worried about your health, or someone else's, please speak to a medical professional. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
Your contributions
You keep ownership of the stories, photographs, and comments you send us. We are asking permission to publish them, not to take them from you.
When you give us permission, you grant us a non-exclusive right to share your contribution on our website and across our channels, including editing it lightly for length, clarity, or accessibility.
Please only send us your own work, or work you have the right to share, and only information about other people that they are happy for you to share.
Acceptable use
Please use this site in a way that keeps it safe and welcoming for everyone. You agree not to:
- Send us false, misleading, or someone else's personal information.
- Post content that is abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing towards any person or group.
- Attempt to disrupt, disable, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems.
- Scrape, resell, or systematically copy our content without asking us first.
Merchandise and orders
Prices, colours, sizes, and stock shown on the merchandise pages are a guide until we confirm your order with you in writing.
Sending us an order request does not create a binding contract. A contract forms when we confirm your order and the arrangement for payment and delivery.
Because merchandise is made to order, please check the size guidance before confirming, and tell us promptly if something arrives wrong or damaged so we can put it right.
Third-party links
Our region pages and resource listings point to organisations, services, and businesses we did not create. We are not responsible for their content, prices, or conduct.
Being listed is not an endorsement or a guarantee. If you have a bad experience with a listed organisation, tell us and we will review the listing.
Our responsibility
We build this site with care, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site, beyond the amount you have paid us, if any.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot lawfully be limited.
Intellectual property
The IDAI name, logo, and the original material on this site belong to the Invisible Disabilities Awareness Initiative unless stated otherwise.
You are welcome to share our awareness material, with credit, for non-commercial purposes. For anything else, please ask us first.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you would like to discuss a specific situation, email us at info@idaivisible.com or use the How We Can Help page and we will talk it through with you.
